These are three connected works from my series called 線形生長, all done with ink on rice paper.
Description of my art:
I give all my feelings into ink, before the process begins, I clear out all inner clues and wait.
The first brush stroke comes with the most sincere impulse. It is a choice between many, and I've always been lucky in following my instinct.
After the first touch on paper, I release all my stored momentum, diving into the pool of white with my ink brush, and as strokes go down until this painting is finished, I then pull back to see clearly the result.
Day after day, what is the tension between my creative progress and my doubt in reality? I don't know what I am digging, that's for sure.
At least for me, when I am driven by something unknown, I believe in that unknown truly.
Thank you for your participation from Taiwan! Your drawings are really impressive. Sometime it looks like a topographic map from the sky, sometimes it looks like movements and sessions between lines and blank space. You say "I don't know what I am digging, that's for sure. At least for me, when I am driven by something unknown, I believe in that unknown truly." which is very interesting. I assume this is your space with no room to think but feel. Keep it up.
